Apparently he only wanted to sign up for ten shows but he was told out of the blue that he was going to do 50. No wonder he carked it. That's way too much pressure on someone with health problems. Oh and I'm pretty sure earlier in this thread I commented about whether he'd even be fit to go through with the tour.

I think it was all the enablers and all the pressure to make some income to pay his debts that eventually did him in.
If this tour really wasn't his idea then who knows, maybe he ODed on purpose. |

No one knows that for sure, no one knows what MJ thinking at the time, so no can say for certain that he wanted to OD. He's no different then any other Rock stars (athlete or celebrity) that accidentally OD.

Well I guess good old Michael's heart just couldn't "beat it"?.... Someone should slap me, seriously. But yeah, on a serious note, he was a great artist and performer and it's pretty sad to lose someone as talented as him at such a young age. RIP

One of the all time greats... a fantastic musician, lucid songwriter, a master of the stage, unseen humanitarian... still exploited all of his life,
ill, with no one to really help him. All I can say is may he rest in peace in some better place, his music is immortal. |

Not because I find it distasteful but because it's been used about 50 times already.

Better yet, permaban for anyone that makes a pedo joke.
It's become such a crutch for people trying to be funny. Joke about his plastic surgery, looking like a white chick, his hair catching on fire. Or if you want to be really offensive, his abusive father and drug addiction. But please, no more MJ pedo jokes. |

I had a friend who saw Stevie Wonder play at Summerfest in Milwaukee this weekend... said he was very emotional throughout the performance and dedicated alot of the set to MJ... as much as I didn't count myself as a fan, it really struck me that this is all rather very sad... I kinda half wanted MJ to rise back to popularity to kinda bring a happy ending to it all, and prove his detractors, myself included, wrong... but alas, thatg cannot be now...
