Since black males are more prone to heart problems, maybe that's what he was really trying to get away from?

Oh denial denial, not only is it not a river in Egypt, it's effing retarded.

I like Cash better, but that's my opinion. I love MJ too, but my respect for him dropped when the "allegations" started.

Not exactly true. Cash's career spanned many more years, he worked with many more musicians and changed the face of not only country music, but rock as well. Michael Jackson is great, and made the highest selling record in history, but to say Cash's death isn't comparable to his is simply foolish... It was on the news for nearly a month every day. Thats just me. I'm a huge fan of both and it's sad that 2 of my favorite artists as a child are gone now.

I think it's really sad. Obviously everything he and his body had been through caught up with him. RIP.

He was killed by a heartache, not the children he raped.

See VF, the jokes are still funny.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

I'm just so shocked! I thought he'd be around forever, he's immortal. I think in a way, it's good that he's in peace now. He had a pretty eff'd up life.

Yeah, I still dont see them comparable as artists though other than the fact that they were both very respectable figures in the music industry. I get what your saying, I thoroughly enjoyed the Highwaymen project he did with Jennings, Kristofferson & Nelson. Yeah Im a big fan of Cash, but not of MJ.

Somehow, I'm not surprised.

It's weird. It's not that I saw it coming. It's just that I'm not particularly taken aback by it.

In any case, I wasn't a fan, but I can't deny the impact he had and the influence he created, and I do enjoy his early stuff.

This has really come as a shock. I used to listen to him a lot when i was really small, my uncle made a Michael Jackson tape for me when i was about 7 or 8 and i would listen to it the whole time. They were playing nothing but MJ on the radio last night and it really brought back memories of being a kid. R.I.P.
