Why are people paying it though? It's really very simple, the tickets may be pricey but for a lot of people (myself included) it will be their one and only chance to ever see him live. That matters more than whether he would be good or not I think. I'm not going by the way, but it would have been my only chance.

Isn't it his "goodbye" tour? I thought I heard that somewhere but it makes even more sense that the tickets would fly out the door if he were doing this for the last time.

My sources could be wrong, though, I just thought I heard it said on TV.

I guess I do. I've never really thought of myself as much of a metalhead but maybe I'm more of one than I realize.

Its his farewell tour aye. Well, supposedly. I do think it will be but you never know with these things. One day another kids parents could take all his money again and BAM! - wheelchair moonwalking.

The tickets would sell out instantly no matter what to be fair, but theres pleny of people my age I know who are going and they are going because this will be the first and last time they will ever get the opportunity.

Yeah, somehow I think this farewell tour will be the first of many.

But the answer is yes, I think I've given them more listens than any other band I can think of that I'm not a fan of. They have some songs I like, such as "Dark Star", but overall their music doesn't really do it for me.

Hmmm... what's your impression of my tastes that you wouldn't expect Brian Wilson of me? I'm just kind of curious what my preferences come off as on here.

I don't know, I just get the impression that you like music that has some type of edge to it, and Brian Wilson is so calm and peaceful sounding, and kinda lacks any type of edge.

That's true, though. He IS the King of Pop and I know a lot of people who would die to see him in concert and have been hardcore fans forever.

He's lucky he hasn't ended up like Gary Glitter at this point. That's a good example of how not to go about hanging out with kids.

Ah. Well that's probably a pretty fair assessment most of the time. :)

He will probably have some performances and decided to get in to a show business again =))

Has anyone got tickets? I wonder how good he will be? He was really good when he was younger but I'm not sure how good he will be now? I'm really curious to see how people rate the tour.

I considered it but no I didnt get any. I used to love Michael Jackson's music and I think even Michael Jackson was the first artist I ever really got into. Before that I dont think I really cared and would just hear whatever I heard on the radio or saw on TV or whatever my sister was listening to at the time. Given I didnt start going to gigs until 2001 this may well be my one and only time to see someone who's music was that influentuial to me so I definitely considered it. Meh. I hope he will be good but it's just not gonna be the same, that ship has sailed now I think.
