Ugh. I actually agree and yet I was still drawn into contributing toward it.

I don't like Jackson's new material either.

Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad and Dangerous, those are the essentials, don't care about anything after that.

Oh, and Sonic 3 of course, only one of the best video game soundtracks ever.

Im not convinced that every allegation thrown at MJ has been true at all and I think its a case of "If you throw enough ****..." but I doubt I'd be settling out of court for such a severe allegation if i was innocent.[/QUOTE]

It always depends on the other factors you had to balance the issue of vindication against. Ideally, everyone would have no issue with attending a long trial, paying a large amount in legal costs and sacrificing their other obligations in life due to the time-consuming trial, amongst other things, just to vindicate themselves. But that's not how it works. Even when, MJ fought the trial a few years back, he still wasn't vindicated in the public eye. Aside from this, I have already mentioned the business interests that you would not want to jeopardise. But there's also the fact that the damage to a public figure's reputation and earnings would likely be mitigated by a quick settlement as distinct from a long drawn-out trial that's constantly in the public eye. Aside from the temporal aspect, there's a reason why the MJ trial stays more in the mind than the settlement in the early 90's.

To ask the converse of your question, would you settle out of court if it was your kid that was sexually abused? Anyway, that's really it for me.

Well said.

His later works are not as good as his early stuff (which has been said countless of times and IS true.) but that does not take away his legacy and what he has already achieved.

Especially when such allegations look to have been made for an improper collateral purpose (usually money or spite).
Nuff said, well done.

This is why I asked what the basis could be. His looks? I don't know.
Agree.

Right... the average person does not follow ALL the facts anyway ESPECIALLY when it comes to celebrities and people they dont know.

They go off of what OTHER people think, Media of course, what they see, from their OWN experiences, how people LOOK and they judge them by making their OWN conclusions and that is why that is.
People do this EVERYDAY with regular people on the street.
That should not be held against the person in question because ur judgment is not fact whether you feel it to be true or not.

Do you really have to post a zillion MJ vids with every post? I think we all know most of his tunes by now.

I have to disagree with those that say Thriller is mostly filler. The only below average track for me is The Girl is Mine. Everything else is great. I think Wanna Be Startin Something, Human Nature, PYT and Baby Be Mine are just as good as Thriller, Beat It and Billie Jean. I even love Lady in My Life in all it's corny glory.

Did I mention his music? No. I asked why you feel the need to post so many videos of tracks we all know? You are not going to change peoples minds if you don't like them.
