Prince has made a lot of errors in his career, but he has more talent in his left finger than Jackson entire does. The commercial machine is a wonderful thing. Why do they not champion Jackson anymore?

He's certainly fun to dance to. But yah, he's not exactly a prodigous musical talent.

Peadophile. I was being ironic. I was pertaining to the fact that a lot of Jackson's success is media led, put his talent into proper perspective. He rarely writes his own songs. Has limited instrumentation and his vocal range is limited. Why he is held up as a great artist is frankly terrifying. He can dance and recognise a good tune, but how many of you have listened to SIGN O THE TIMES? If you are serious music fans, you can see how good pop music can be.

Michael Jackson, whether guilty or not guilty, has had more influence on pop music than any other artist in the past 30-40 years. He was around forever and is undoubtably the top male artist of the past couple of decades. It is hard to believe that one CD- "Thriller" could possibly sell 25,000,000 copies in ONE COUNTRY ALONE. Most artists would die just to sell 25 million worldwide. He is an amazing dancer. My favorites of his are "Billie Jean", "Smooth Criminal", "Black Or White" and "Scream" w/ Janet Jackson.

Heinz sell millions of cans of baked beans everyday.

Does that mean baked beans are the height of haute cuisine ?

Nice words CelebG whose music do you listen, is matter of your choice, but to look objectively, who had major impact on music in 80 – 90’s..
I love Avil Lavinges music, but I will not insist that she is the greatest female singer!

Beans – 5$ haute cuisine – for example 20$
Michael Jackson CD – 20 $ Prince CD – 20 $

You can't compare two different sistems...
