Before too long,

Youre not a man
Youre posting flames
To hide your face

Well they say the nets the limit
And to me thats really true
But my friend you have read nothing
Just wait til I get through . . .

Because Im trolling, Im trolling-come on
(troll-ing - really, really trolling)
You know Im trolling, Im trolling-you know it

You know Im trolling, Im trolling-come on, you know
(troll-ing - really, really trolling)
And the whole internet has to answer right now
Just to tell you once again,

I also love Michael Jackson. Melody of song "Beat it" is very impressive.

Unquestionably Michael Jackson had a number of great songs (particularly on the albums Thriller and um, Off The Wall, but that's ignoring an important factor: he only contributed to about three of the songs on Off The Wall, and wrote only four songs from Thriller. Michael Jackson was never a productive songwriter, the bulk of his albums having been written by professionals. For that reason, there's no way his ilk can be compared with the likes of, say, a truly talented songwriter like Prince, who not only wrote most of his own material but produced and played the instruments too.

Michael Jackson, other than a few strokes of genius (e.g. Beat It, Billie Jean, Wanna Be Startin' Something), was never consistently productive as far as great songs go.

One of my favorites. There's no doubt the guy is weird, but there is also no doubt the guy made awesome music which is all that really matters to me.

Great song. Although for me "Beat It" was always about Van Halen's solo.

What's that got to do with anything. It's not like we're discussing some obscure soul/funk act here.
What a ridiculous question
Why? Why does it matter. It is irrelavant to Jackson's music but I'll answer your immature question.
To answer your question....no (and that isn't because of the allegations) I wouldn't let my child sleep with any 50 year old man whether they are accussed of a crime or not.

but it's an even tougher crowd when you do it in a joint where the Soul/Funk section constitutes less than 1% of the forum's discussion.
Well said.

Right. Michael Jackson and the rest of pop culture are only here to entertain. They don't owe the public no explanation no reason for any of the things they do. They are not perfect. They are JUST entertainers. And this is not a forum to discuss personal business that nobody on this board knows anything about. Were here to talk about MUSIC thats it. ALot of people on this board are very narrow minded with music despite what they think about there own music taste. Any real music fan knows its ridiculous to compare Prince and Michael Jackson

Agree with the Soul/Funk thread..

The moderators are worse than the folks that come here because they run the board but they mistakenly think they can run people and their opinions and they can't. They use their status to their advantage.
They spend most of their time trying to prove a point thats irrelavant.

Don't sweat it with talking to these people
There is no point in having a Real, Mature, Intelligent, and Unbiased music discussion with these folks because they are not open minded, they could care less about your opinion, their very immature and their ultimately going to think what they want to think. They dont like Michael Jackson or his music BUT yet they continue to come into this thread and bombard with nonscence which is beyond ridiculous.

Well I do agree that MJ has provided plenty of entertainment. It's a pity his music has'nt since about 1983.

---Any real music fan knows its ridiculous to compare Prince and Michael Jackson---

I know. Real music fans know that Prince owns his ass.

Then why excuse him doing it?

Yes they do , they follow laws just like the rest of us have to. If you want to put them up on a pedestal , fine. I choose not to.

I don't try to change anyone's opinions I just express mine. That is the nature of a forum. You think me expressing my opinions is me using my status to an advantage.
WRONG
The main reason I was made a moderator in the first place was because I did this already. A forum is about debate and that's what we encourage. I disagree with lots of people here but I don't start throwing a hissy fit over it.

When have you ever done that here ?
I don't think i've ever seen you post anything other than something that could come straight out of Jacksons PR company.
Where's your intelligent open minded debate?
Apparently we're not mature , open minded or unbiased just because some of us disagree with you. Well that's a real mature , unbiased opinion to have isn't it?

I said I thought Off The Wall was a piece of pop genius and so have quite a few people in this thread so that kind of proves that point , and the one before it wrong.
