Has it really been a year?! It feels like it's been a few months.

Amandria, did you ever see the film?
And yeah it's been a year, I remember cause I was in Beijing when he died. I told my teacher he was a liar.

I think he was a phenomenal artist, and that he influenced everything that has been done with pop music after him. I mean, most pop artist wouldn't be what they are today without him!
I posted here before about a MJ special that's showing on the TV Guide Network on June 25th, but I also found a video clip of it. Check it out ! youtube.com/watch?v=p3b9oXa9v8c |

I finally got around to watching This Is It today.
In a way it was sad/frustrating to watch as you get to see the framework for what looks as though it would have been a very visually impressive show, as you would expect from the man, yet are obviously left wondering what could have been. However i also thought it was good to get such a close-up insight into the preparation and the rehearsing for such a huge commitment. Its all rehearsal footage and so there are moments where it is clear that he is not exerting all of his energy or quite turning it on in the way you assume he would have done at the shows but after some questionable performances earlier in the decade, i thought he was moving really well for a man of his age. I think its worth a watch if you're a Michael Jackson fan but aside from that, it might not offer too much of interest. |

so I just listened to Invincible for the first time. the only song from it I had heard before was 'You Rock My World' The second half of the album was kinda boring but there are a few song that really were amazing. 'Heartbreaker' sounds like nothings else I've heard in pop, the beat is seriously so amazing! and I just love the sliding bass on 'Heaven Can Wait'. and you rock my world is still amazing, love the video too
I am a huge fan of MJ, even though I only started listening to his music about a year before he died. I cannot stand people who make jokes about him or even think that he could have been a bad person in any way. He was such an amazing human being and a huge victim of malicious media, his story is so sad, it breaks my heart whenever I meet someone who doesn't know the truth about Michael.
