the title "Queen of Pop" was every where after the release of her 1998 album "Ray Of Light" so i would say around the early 2000's? I remember everyone saying it. |

Madonna was a music artist that made me realize how much I love music. I really love her earlier stuff but, my favorite era has to be the Vouge era she could really do no wrong at that point in her career. Then as time went on she just wasn't being herself anymore I feel. Her recent songs seem like they're trying too hard. For example Ghost Town is amazing when she sings it but, the track has so much autotune I can't listen to the recorded version.
Basically I think she'll always be a legend but, needs to stop trying to one up other popular pop artists. Just be herself. It's okay to be sexy but, yeah. |

I remember buying the Like a Virgin album when I was 9 or 10 and loving it. I played it everyday on my casette player. And to be fair I believe she played a part in nurturing my love of music. For years many of the girls at school would dress like her or do their hair like her, and so whoever you dated looked a little bit like Madonna. Haha. Kinda funny looking back.
I don't like her music much anymore, not even the old stuff. Funny how things seem to change when in reality it's us who change. |
