When I feel like someone is being sexist, I'll attack them and I don't even care to try to sugar coat it.
You can't say a woman is being inappropriate when there are sexual and really bad things being shown all over the program.
You can't say she's not a role model just because she isn't yours.

She does represent female empowerment, because she does what she wants and does a good job at it.
You don't know if she's doing it for money, and I don't know if she's not. All I know is that what she's doing is fine and it isn't overly ANYTHING just because someone is deciding to be a prude all of a sudden and say children can't watch her show.

How are you going to watch Football and the commercials and the half-time show and explicitly blame her for being too sexual? Give me a break.
It's annoying.

I'm being lazy again by not reading anything on this thread thus far, but wanted to comment that since she came out I noticed a lack of spice or charisma in her personality. Astrologically I know what the problem is. Maybe she is one of those artists who is 100% about the work, IDK. Never took to any of her songs either, but I can understand the appeal objectively with super dramatic songs like the one Tara Lipinski skated to a few years ago and the catchy tunes her and Kelly Rowland came up with in the 90s.

Beyonce is the queen. Regardless of the criticisms, you can't deny that she works hard to create and work for her fans.

I've seen her new video. She is getting whiter by the day.

So Lemonade dropped Saturday night on HBO. Beyonce's new album. I appreciate the way that she delivered it. She always loves creating multiple videos at once for certain albums and with this one she decided to make a short film that was essentially the album in video form. I love all the Jay-Z memes that have popped up and people just cracking jokes about this album being divorce papers in the form of music. lol.

So Jay cheated on Beyonce but like mature adults, I'm pretty sure they worked it out and she decided to channel those feelings into a couple of songs from this album. Another thing that people are worked up about is the fact that one of the songs on the album sounds country but that's a bit ignorant, it's more like a blues vibe to me. The guitarist on that track is definitely blues orientated. She has features from Jack White, James Blake, Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd with loads of producers hooking her up on the production side of things, Diplo and some others.

After my first listen to it, I'm enjoying it but I will definitely play it a few more times to get a better grasp on it. The visuals were very powerful throughout the film. I just hate the whole Tidal exclusivity thing but it was to be expected.

Not trying to derail the thread, but is anyone a fan of her sister Solange? She is not nearly as well known, but I've heard some of her stuff and I think I like it better.

Daddy Lessons and Freedom are two of the best songs I've ever heard from
her to be completely honest. I was a little underwhelmed by the James Blake track but hopefully I'll warm up to it with a few more listens. Overall I'm fairly impressed with the album.

Honestly I am not too impressed on her work lately, and it seems to me that marital strife has been part of her songs for almost a decade. There is one song that I like the most from her, an old one: I was here. With the new album she just keeps the same line as always with marriage problems.
