Default Fall Out Boy has

My girlfriend tells me that Fall Out Boy just announced on Tv that they don't make their music for other people to like, they just make what they like. Truth? What's everyone's opinion?

This reminds me, I was checking the amount of seeders on torrents to see whose CD's had the most;
The Killers - Day And Age: About 14000
Britney Spears - Circus: About 8000
Fall Out Boy - Folie A Deux: About 5000
Lil Wayne - The Weezy Effect 2: About 2500
The Beatles/Led Zeppelin top torrents: About 2000
About 30 or 40 artists I found on MusicBanter: Ranging from 100 to 1000
Some artists I couldn't even find, like Tarantula Hawk or Book Of Knots. Carina Round had like 3 seeders or something. =/

Is anyone else disappointed by this?
Why is it the same 30 bands that are played on the radio, the same songs, every day, even if their not that good, are the ones who get like 13000 people wanting that artist when I have a list of like 300 artists sitting in front of me, all of which that Ive gotten are much more of an musical experience, and people don't even bother to find them?
