since this thread is inexplicably revived, i'll chip in with my 2 cents
the debut is awesome but i only really like the singles from the 2nd album never bothered with them much after that, not even their solo careers and i quite fancy Sporty Spice, yes, she looks weird, but that's part of the allure i can't really stand Geri or Victoria much, though |

Inexplicable? I think not! The common denominator for such threads is Beckybo0. Seems she wanted to put in her two cents on such artists as Jessie J, S Club 7, Gwen Stefani and the Spice Girls
The Spice Girls were an embarrassing black mark on my life since I started public school in the third grade. As a little boy in 1997 of 4 years, with all the "cool people" in my life being preteen girls, liking the Spice Girls was almost a requirement. And really, I grew up in the age where groups of colorful characters with irresistible names were sold to kids like candy. That was the whole appeal of the Teletubbies, after all. ("Which one is your favorite??") Admittedly, it was delicious. I've since gotten over the sugar high (sort of). Yes, I do know all the words to "Stop Right Now" and can't help but smile and tap my toe when I hear Wannabe (it sure is witty, with irresistible 'tude), but I've blacklisted Spice World as "complete and utter rubbish." The people at the Golden Raspberries know what they're talking about. At the end of the day, the Spice Girls were a fun memory, but not my cup of tea. But they paved the way for my appreciation of teen pop. |
