I agree with some of the points made in the article. I have to say I really liked the line claiming she gives off the impression to be asexual in her videos. In a not so literal sense, it makes sense (at least to me.)
A lot of her videos do have the fast-paced, blank expression shots that the article talks about. I attribute that more to her shock art (or wanting to appear shock art-like) than anything else. Some of her work is borderline gruesome (though I find horror art to be fascinating, so it doesn't really bother me a whole lot.) I saw her say in an interview some time ago is she wants to make pop music with elements of shock art. When they go see her in concert, she wants them to love it as a whole, yet still make her fans turn and say "Oh god, is she really doing that?" or "Eww, what in the world is that?" Her reasoning behind that I don't know, but it may be worth mentioning. I have a feeling the article may have been referencing this video interlude at her concert, I'll try to embed it for those who have not seen it. Edit: I can't figure out how to embed it..
