To me, not being a massive pop fan, I'd put her (musically) on the same set as Beyonce, Ke$ha, Katy Perry etc - listening to a local radio station all day that plays barely anything but pop, Lady Gaga's songs stand out no more to me than Beyonce or Rhianna. Maybe it is just because I'm indifferent to pop music? I very briefly worked in a music shop for a couple of months and we were given set playlists of new albums to play, one being Lady Gaga's 'The Fame' and I can genuinely say that it stood out to none of us as a
great album. One of the better pop albums of that year, but nothing special.
