She is an interesting person. Her music is catchy, though. And I'm not talking about "I Kissed a Girl."

I'm not sure exactly what everyone has listened to, or to what extent they listened to it, but she happened to let the worst song on the album out. Just saying.

i agree there big for a reason. sometimes people can stop making as much as an effort once there big, or simply cant top the album that made them big in the first place .

Personality doesn't always make great music, but it sure helps. A skilled band is not necessarily a great band if they're boring.

Her music is just stripped down. There's nothing to sit and wonder about. I enjoy that every once in a while.

Edit: I didn't even realize this was the Lady Gaga thread.

The best music is a good mix of personality and great writing and playing... being just one of each usually makes an artist pretty mediocre... that was all my point was...

That and I don't get the whole Lady Gaga thing. Or the Katy Perry thing... I think everyone was all over her for the statement she made in "I kissed a Girl"... but it's a sentiment that's been expressed many a time over in music and it really made no impression on me. Girls kiss girls. Guys kiss guys. Girls kiss guys and vice versa. It happens everyday... and everyone likes it... what a shock!

there's such a thing as oversaturation, though. i mean, if we keep hearing about her ALL the time, chances are people'll get sick of her, and unless she totally revamps her style, i'm not sure that she'll be able to come back from it.
