Slipknot are really fun live imo. I mean for god's sake there are nine people in masks running around onstage.

Edit: ok back on topic. I really dig the Fame Monster. Alejandro and Dance in the Dark are delicious.

I think that it's a cover and not a parody

Sexuality and sexiness are a huge part of Gaga's music and performances, so what she wears and how she portrays herself reflect this. She obviously draws influence from the burlesque genre, as well as glam rock figures such as Freddie Mercury, even David Bowie, as well as pop music artists like as Madonna and Michael Jackson. Yes, a lot of pop artists show a lot of skin but if we criticise them for wearing whatever they like, isn't that a step backwards in equal rights? Like when women were criticised for wearing skirts above the knee? Plus, at least Lady Gaga does it in a creative way and does not outwardly try to be attractive, but weird and controversial and freaky instead. Music is only one part of her performances which really include art, fashion, technology and controversy as well. Yes her music is, as Big3 described it, unabashed materialistic pop - but isn't all art real art, or is pop art not? And if someone talented wants to make pop music, what's the problem?
Christina Aguliria is exactly the same in regards to pimping out her sexuality but she actually sells her music with sex and wants to look hot. Gaga just doesn't give a ****. Makes the average joes around the world like me feel like it's not that big of a deal to be hot and do what you want to do.

Ok, I'm gonna dl some of her albums and see what the fuss is about. For the record, I like Poker Face and Eh Eh but I find Bad Romance to be a bit grating. :/

Seltzer, listen to "Brown Eyes", "Speechless" and "Alejandro", they are some of her best quality lyrics.

I actually downloaded Fame Monster last week so that I at least knew what she sounded like outside of her biggest hits. Still can't say I'm a fan but I'm not in the dark anymore! So at least there's that.
