I was over at my parents' house this morning so that my child could look through Grandma's costume jewelry with her, and while that glitterfest was going on I riffled through my old childhood records and decided to play Olivia Newton John's 1977 album "Totally Hot" on my dad's old record player (which still works 30 years later).

This album was one of the first (and few) records I ever purchased. I was curious to hear the music again. I found that I couldn't recall any of her songs except for "A Little More Love," which was the only one I really like off the album. However, I was reminded how much I like her voice regardless what she is singing. Also, the album cover made me recall how stunningly beautiful and adorable I feel she is!

I love that Olivia Newton John's voice is distinctively hers with that cute Australian accent. She sounds so wholesome, no matter what she sings:

Olivia Newton John - "A Little More Love"
I think she was trying to shed that wholesome look with her updated hairdo and short red dress:

Olivia Newton John - "Hopelessly Devoted to You"
This song of "Grease" fame made me a devotee of Olivia Newton John:

Olivia Newton John and John Travolta - "Summer Nights"
Hee hee hee, I just couldn't resist posting this song! Olivia Newton John looks so much like a happy yellow sunbeam that watching her performance and hearing her voice always makes me happy.
