The point is, whether you like Duff's music or not, that doesn't make her any less of a musician.

The point is she's making 3 minute pop records and doesn't need to be a musician.

Pop records are judged by how catchy they are and how you can dance & sing along to them. They're not meant to be anything more. They can be , but it's not essential. If you can't see past that and give it credit for those things it's just snobbery on your part.

Personally I couldn't give a toss about Hilary Duff , but I will defend pop music as it's due to that I became the music fan I did.
