Default The Coral

Just recently got the album The Coral's debut album and may i say..... Woah! One of the best albums i have heard in a long time (Which led me on to get Magic and Medicine and Roots and Echoes...) But it does make me wonder..... Why does nobody ever talk about this band or this amazing album? Maybe it's different in England but In Ireland the Coral are pretty much unknown from what i can gather. (Except for maybe 'Dreaming of You' but the chances people will know who sings it are slim...)

So any other fans of this album or this band out there?

(Also why the hell did the Zutons make it so much bigger!?)

I like the song in the morning and that's about it, although I do have fond memories of red haired beauties and coconut lubricant tied to it.

you can't really argue with that first album, they were a much more exciting proposition when they first started, they talked about the Teardrop Explodes and Funkadelic in interviews and served up the psychedelic nonsense in bucketfuls. 'eclectic scousers' was the music mag hype at the time. They've gone down quite a tame folk-pop route though it seems, shame.
