Roxy Music- Same Old Scene

My favourite Roxy Music track by far.

New Order-Sunrise

My favourite New Order track. Stunning.

XTC-Sgt.Rock

Another track with indelible memories and it's nice to know that XTC are highly regarded too!

lol@me doing albums.

The Cure "Just Like Heaven"

SPOILERZ this is on my top singles list. This song has nice memories with me and I think its one of the best love songs ever.

Belle & Sebastian "I'm a Cuckoo"

If you're feeling in the mood for an amazing song (yes I know this is off of Catastrophe.)

Hello Saferide "My Best Friend"

Best song ever =]

Tom Waits-Downtown Train
Much better than the Rod Stewart cover...Just a really great song, and while Wait's voice doesn't really fit the song, it creates a great atmosphere.

This one is to seperate the men from the boys

Regardless of whether you think the song bad or not if you don't think that this is a work of pop genius then all I can say is that you are either blind , deaf , stupid or have totally failed to grasp the concept of what pop truly is.
I am confident enough in my own judgment and musical knowledge to herald this a pop classic regardless of any sniping from metal kids and especially indie bores who'll try to convince you that just because it's not on a small label or was written by a bunch of producers that it holds no artistic merit. It does and whats more I would be willing to bet that it's gotten far more kids into music than any Smiths album ever did.
So I shall shout it from the rooftops .. THIS IS A FANTASTIC POP RECORD !!!!!
