Not as clever as you thought...
Saying a genre all contains one lyrical theme or fanbase is technically stereotyping but I guess idiotic generalization is actually more accurate. Take your pick to which you'd prefer me calling the "philosophies" you post.

No, what adidasss was saying was a FACT! Get that? F.A.C.T! As in, the truth. After the Second World War, West Germany was based around a sort of collective amnesia characterized by an unwillingness to indulge in any sort of talk regarding the existence of the Nazi regime. The result of this was that Germans growing up in the period had pretty much no access to recent German culture or history. Needing to identify with something, the circumstances in question led to their entire sense of culture coming to be dominated by American culture.

I really don't know why I waste my time telling interesting and valuable pieces of information to your likes. You're the sort who thinks they can't learn a thing. Go back to your garbage mass-produced Godsmack.

Maybe in 5 years you will look back at this post of yours and realize how foolish you were.

This isn't the 1940's anymore buddy. Germany has long since regained thier identity and ability to not associate with America. Like most modern Europians I'm sure they mostly actually resent us.

Oomph is not some America fanboy, nothing in thier lyrics is 'American' what-so-ever. Just get over it.

I'm fairly certain I've met far more than you ever have. I live in Croatia (that's in Europe which is also where Germany is), in a tourist town which thousands of Germans visit every year. Unfortunately, I was also exposed to their TV programs because those were the only free satellite channels we could get (and the only contact with the outside world). Hence all those fun years listening to Herbert Grönemeyer, Die Arzte, Scooter , Die Toten Hosen etc. on VIVA and German MTV...obviously, my teens were not a happy period of my life and I resent you questioning my torment.

Oh, now you pretend to understand the issue I was talking about, of which you know full well that you knew absolutely nothing. Dude, you're completely transparent.

The German identity issue continued for way beyond the 40s and the remnants of it still exist. Use your brain for heaven's sake: if the whole culture was rebuilt upon the culture of America, which it was, then the resulting new German culture would have its roots totally in America. Anyway, this wasn't the point: the point was that Germans are among the best (non-English speaking) countries at speaking English, are incredibly familiar with American culture, and therefore are familiar with American idioms and language use. And therefore, there's nothing remarkable or even surprising about a German band having good command of English metaphor etc.

Actually, to take matters further, not only Germans but the Dutch, Swedes, Danish and Norwegians also tend to have incredibly good command of the English language and of idiomatic/metaphorical usage. But you wouldn't know that either, because your knowledge of Europe (and everything else apparently) is pretty appalling.

Show me one instance of an Oomph lyric that is clearly an American angsty teen cliche designed by the obviously corproate powerhouse of a band they are, to monopolize on stressed out generic American adolecents, at very least in the excerpt of lyrics I posted earlier.

Also I should note that about 10-15% of Oomph's songs are in English, I doubt the foundation of thier existence is as an American commercial angsty teen metal band.

Right. Well done. Notice where I never claimed either things! I was just backing up adidasss's claim that the Germans are pretty much the most America-obsessed country you're likely to find in Europe. Which you tried to refute/contend out of pure ignorance. Well guess what, I think he'd know better: he only has TWO SMALL COUNTRIES separating him from Germany. How many do you have (and how many oceans)?

And the reason Adidasss brought that up was in attempt to claim that Oomph, by this virtue, used American cliches and what-not, which is false.

Actually, Urban mentioned teen angst clichés, he never said American clichés, that was your conclusion. I merely corrected your subsequent misinformed silliness.
