This thread is showing (by 'showing' I mean simply that I'm telling you) that I'm 'fighting the corporate machine' (by ignoring it).

That is completely different that 'using' the thread to fight the corporate machine. I'm not 'using' the thread to fight the corporate machine I'm 'using' this thread to pass time before I go to bed for the night.
