They are signed to one of the biggest corporations in the world, that is the point he was trying to make, so you have been dictated too whether you were conscious of it or not.

I'm not an Oomph fan because I'm buying some commercially perpetuated image, there is no Oomph shirts, no Oomph music videos on MTV, I'm the only person real life that knows who they are (other than people I've told) |

There's tons of t-shirts but my personal favorites are the Oomph lanyard The Oomph pen! and the very handy Oomph lighter! Bunch of corporate whores. |

They are only with SONY because the label they were with at the time, GUN, merged with SONY, it wasn't really thier decision. |

It isn't being PUSHED on the consumers with commercials, which means people buying that stuff are buying it sincerely, not to fit an image or whatever. Sometimes you need a pen and those POS bick pens get boring And I highly doubt they're making very much money off of pens and lighters let's get real, this is hardly even a corporate wind-up toy. |

The point is, regardless of what record label they are with, is that 99% of Oomph fans found the band on thier own accord, nobody listens to Oomph to fit in, they aren't mainstream, what popularity they do have can be attributed to thier talent but they clearly aren't a commercial band. How many people had even heard of them until I brought them up?
