I heard some tit on the radio a few hours ago saying "beyonce is nothing more than a product of the music industry". And Glastonbury had 'sold out' by getting her to play. I dissagree. Does she write her own music/lyrics?

Not one favorite song. I don't like any of the female solo artists. The industry is all about visual. Sorry, commercial music is at a low point. Put a pretty girl in a studio and the producer writes the songs and they sell millions of albums. If she was unattractive she would never of been signed.

Out of today's major female pop stars I prefer Beyonce the most, but yet that is not saying a hell of a lot. Her new song "Best Thing I Never Had" is really good though. Beyonce seems to do ballads like Halo and the aforementioned song quite nicely. Her quicker tempo songs like for example "Run the World", don't seem to turn out as well imo.
