Come on, a lot of the songs posted are not really proper love ballads ..

Now, "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler, that's a ballad.

.. And possibly Careless Whisper by George Michael, although I'm not sure if it qualifies lyrically. I mean, it's about cheating and stuff. I'm not sure you could play it in your wedding.
