Mate, I never checked the date - and either way, why "lol" at someone who listens to some R. Kelly, when they "diss" Akon?
Music is all about personal preference, and I personally don't like Akon, which is why I decided to post here seeing as the topic creator hailed him as a "living legend", which is something I completely disagree with. Michael Jackson, Andrea Bocelli, John Farnham and bands like Cold Chisel are more along the lines of "living legends", in my opinion. All of them have awesome songs, awesome vocal performances, and have been around for a long time. Akon just rocked up overnight and sucked hardcore. Just my opinion, which I'm perfectly entitled to. |

I agree with your whole comment there, although the original post was meant to be sarcastic.
ProggyMan, how are you going to go and like R. Kelly? He pretty much embodies what it is to sell out. Think about it, mid 90's, 'I Believe I Can Fly' a la Boyz 2 Men, or All For One, this kind of dramatic, going for epic sound, and then now he's turned into this big pimp, just all the mainstream hip hop artists of today. And on top of all that, his music isn't good. |
