No, certainly not my intent at all. There's really nothing controversial about this thread at all. There's a difference between stirring controversy and stating a lesser-held viewpoint.

His voice isn't unique or otherworldly and his range isn't that spectacular either. You're exaggerating his skills and lying through your teeth. Akon is trash and like countless overproduced fake pop stars before him he will be forgotten in a few years.

I like Akon, but he doesn't seem to be able to carry the hype by himself, all of his hits are collabo's. His voice just isn't right to be a solo artist, it's too gimmicky.
