who knows this really good emo band? theyre really cool and they sound kinda like the used. they have a new cd coming out june 8th called "three cheers for sweet revenge". ive only heard one song from it so far and its rpetty good. its called "im not okay" and i liked it a lot. in their new cd they also have a song with the singer of the used so thats really cool. right now theyre touring with avenged sevenfold through the US so if youre lucky try to check them out :yikes:

I saw them a while ago with Thrice and The Used.....defenitely sounded really good, better than the Used in my opinion.

this is a pretty known band but not many people know that their new cd is coming out. its supposed to be really good, cos ive only heard one song from it so far and its really good so i hope the rest is as good. the cd is called THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE and the song i heard is called "im not okay". my favorite song by them though is "honey, this mirror isnt big enough for the two of us"
right now theyre touring with avenged sevenfold although the tour is about to finish.

I used to have a demo from them a few years ago, maybe two, and I enjoyed it, but they sounded pretty rough. I will have to give the new cd a listen though.

I like this band.. they are pretty rad.

i'm neutral, I don't dislike them, but they don't stand out in any way for me, don't know what it is, just doesn't do it for me.

Their first album was good, but I agree with Jibber, they aren't all that special really...

cant say i do. i cant get into them. people have tried, but it sounds...manufactured i guess. i dunno, just not what i enjoy really

Or how about I like them? To The End, Thanks For All The Poison, and Give 'Em Hell Kid are the only songs I've heard, but they are talented and an enjoyable band to listen to.

i think they are horrible and are only fueling a genre that sucks a ton.

i looove mcr, theyre rad. the sound is different, same as the lyrics, kinda crazy. plus singing about death has never sounded more amusing. 'early sunsets over monroeville' rocks my socks off.

I agree spelling sucks - sux is for little girls. It doesn't take that much time to type three extra letters.

I happen to like them but that must mean that my music isn't as good as yours huh Frost? Ever heard of diversity? Want to know of some other mainstream bands that are pretty damn good?

what is so bad about them? Have you even listened to the cd or are you passing it off as that fake emo ****? What if they aren't emo? What if they play music the way they want to to appeal to the people they want to appeal to? What if no one gives a **** about your opinion? What if I told you Welcome The Plauge Year blows? I'm not a big fan but they have some redeemable qualities. Of The Bridges wasn't too bad. But other than that I was like eh. Must really suck not having ever band you say is amazing stack up to people (like me) who listen to pretty much everything you do.

I never heard of any of their songs but have seen some tee- shirts at hot topics at the mall and other things with the name on it and was wondering what they sound like and who would you say they sound similar to?

it's totally fair do's that you like them but there's no need for other people to like them, just because david frost said he didn't like them you automatically assume he thinks his music is better?! I realise this is the first time I've stood up for him as I generally have something to say about the way he puts things but just because he doesn't like the music he thinks his is better??? Hmmm

honestly i have no idea who these guys are... i have not watched mtv or listened to radio since high school. wut kinda music is this again? mainstream pop rock stuff? matchbook romance- oh wow, is radio playing that stuff too? yeah well im sure you guys are lovin it.

uh...are you referring to my post? if so, i was not trying to be sarcastic nor lame. also, i never criticized what people liked. i think you should read more carefully next time, decipher sarcasm from honesty, and realize that anything and everything in this forum can be taken as criticism (including your posts).

dont you think this is being a bit hypocritical?
you freak out about me thinking "my music" is better, then you flat out just say that it is. i dont know exactly why you have been attacking me as of late in several different threads, but i do have to say its getting to be a bit dramatic. dont like the music i like? sucks, get over it. end of story.

I like My Chemical Romance a lot. I think they are way radical and cool. and a ton of other things.

Their song is really cool. They kinda remind me of OkGo. man I loved that group.
Their song Get Over It always brightened my day.

i saw them about a year and a half ago or maybe 2 years ago. even before everyone loved this band they were awful. i think my hatred for this band blew up last night when i saw them on conan. they have absolutely no talent and i cant see very many differences between them and good charollette.

in conclusion, more people should listen to The Chinese Stars.

Mebbe because there's alot of people who like the kind of music they play? Just a guess, but you never know...

That's just my perception of it though.

In any case I think i like My Chemical romance because of their catchy music.

And their song "I'm ok" really has me going. And the vid for the song is awesome. It's ashame they're not gonna get an award for it or anything since Green Day's rolling in nominations for 'American Idiot' and 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams'

oh and not all catchy songs are good songs...

girl vocals? thats coheed and cambria i believe. my chemical romance is the one that sounds like Good Charolette and loved by people that hate good charolette.
