White Stripes is a minimalist band. They're shooting for a distinct sound and they've attained it, and they keep it simple because that's what's not being done enough. It's not a talent show, it's music, and not everyone is out there trying to prove something.

I actually agree with him. Music doesn't have to be complicated to be enjoyed; however, I still think the White Stripes suck. Some bands I like are extremely simple, but I still think they rock. Ex. Rainer Maria, Volcano, I'm still excited
