He is right, you are not. I don't care much for genres but all these bands resemble little to anything remotely hardcore. I haven't seen a thread in here that has actually talked about emo or hardcore at all and if their is they get little or no reply.

On their second album they're a pop-rock band, straight up. Thier first album is a bit "darker" but it's still basically pretty catchy, structured stuff, I'd think I class it as just rock though because they didn't seem to trying so hard to appeal to the biggest fan base that they could.

As some other people here have said "Emo" is emotional hardcore like Rites of Spring etc. and I'm not saying that people should like that type of music but they should know more about genres before they start banding them about and arguing with people on the matter.

No old school and some of new used is defnetly not pop.Only the stuff they wanted to put on MTV is but seeing as nothings emo anymore theres no point in this being open.
