I dont think most of there stuff is the least bit pop.

Dont count im not okay, helena and the ghost of you those songs were pretty much made to be on MTV but the rest of 3 cheers(for the most part) is pretty fast paced.

and i suppose there more 'nu' emo and not really alternative.
"Thank You for the Venom" stood out as one of the poppiest songs on the album.

Great, not this again. So we disagree on something and you have to resort to insults? Nothing about what I just said was idiotic, if anything, you arguing that MCR is anything but an emo-influenced pop act is what's stupid.

Right, because anything that's fast paced can't possibly be pop.

Yeah, I kinda agree with that.

Anyways, hardly any bands will ever play the same style of music their whole career.
Whatever genre you class the band as doesn't mean that some of their songs won't be different.

On their second album they're a pop-rock band, straight up. Thier first album is a bit "darker" but it's still basically pretty catchy, structured stuff, I'd think I class it as just rock though because they didn't seem to trying so hard to appeal to the biggest fan base that they could.

As some other people here have said "Emo" is emotional hardcore like Rites of Spring etc. and I'm not saying that people should like that type of music but they should know more about genres before they start banding them about and arguing with people on the matter.
