Quite a typical voice for the style of music. It's also not brilliant live.

I thought it was awful. I think I posted the video for it somewhere on this site and outlined how awful I thought it was, but each to their own.

His voice is quite alright live. I think that it's a lot more unique than most voices these days.

I do agree that his voice is nothing to drool over, though.

I love this band. I feel as if they really do whatever they like. The big Queen bombast is sorely missed.

Everytime I hear "Welcome to the Black Parade" i always imagine myself walking into an arena to play the match of a lifetime.

Hey I want straight up honesty... is this band decently talented or just catchy bull****?
I'm honestly gonna say I've never given them a chance.

They are technically talented, whether or not they're good at song-writing is for you to decide ;)

It seems like they are trying to cash in on attention whoring teenagers to me but, I can't really say I've given them much of a chance either. I end up just putting on my headphones and listening to some Lilys or something whenver they pop up on the radio.

See that's the thing... the actual band members are all very down to Earth and everything. The music can sometimes be a little... cliche and obnoxious. But altogether, I think they're a very good band.

MCR is one of those bands that I hate to like because of how mainstream they've become, yet I still listen - and enjoy immensely. From a technical standpoint, they're very good, their songs are quite well-arranged, and even though Gerard's voice is nothing to write home about it's still great listening. I love their lyrics personally, aside from a few songs (I'm Not Okay gets on my f*cking nerves). I've been a fan since Bullets and loved their take on a concept album - Black Parade was great stuff. I hate how the press portrays them as these sort of Media Darling types, and the crazy-as-hell fangirls can go die in my opinion, but the music's still good, and from what I've seen as far as video, their live shows aren't half bad either. Great band.

I've been listening to Helena nonstop for about forty five minutes now.

i never gave them a chance but iam not going to hate on them because i was acctally older when they first started and i seen how when i was a teenager people hated on my bands


TBH i only have heard of some of there singles and i liked the Frantic style they sometimes burst out with

The Black Parade has Cancer and Mama on it, and they're my favourite songs, so...

My 11 year old daughter loves them....still it progression from her love of McFly and Busted........I am personally not keen but they have done a couple of half decent tracks, Famous last words being the one that springs to mind. But i can't argue that they are not technically talanted.

I freaking hated Helena. Next to I'm not okay (I promise) that was the worst track on the album.

But it's also a very meaningful song.

No matter how bad you think it is, I think it deserves at least that amount of credit. For their sincerity.

Helena and I'm No tOkay are great, don't hate just because they're singles :P

Also, I can't believe more people don't think I Brough tYou My Bullets is the best! I mean come on, it had Honey this Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us, and Our Lady of Sorrows, and Headfirst For Halos!

The only thing I hate is when you ask someone if they like My Chemical Romance. And then they say that they do. And then name only "Helena" and "I'm Not Okay." It bothers me sooooo much.

I voted for Black Parade because I actually have that one, Fasho. But uh, yeah... yeah. Cool album.

MCR makes me feel like a feg. I mean, this band is not cool dudes.

And who cares if a band is deemed uncool, or uncool to listen to, that shouldn't keep one from listening to it or atleast trying it out.

I like Dead! (Dead sucks), I'm Not Okay and Helena from my music noobs days, but Teenagers is probably the most annoying god awful song I've ever heard.

I used to love Dead, but guoitar hero ruined it for me.

It was only on the 360 version, which I unfortunately can't play.

I remember a summer '07 when my mom ran over my copy of The Black Parade because it was "demonic" and "Satan worshipper's music"....
Recently bought the live version. Was not really impressed, although Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is pretty good, if you're in the mood for it.

The Black Parade Is Dead is soooooo much better then the album. The second disc on the smaller stage is really great though.

I love Dead!, I got into it FROM Guitar Hero lol.

That's another song that is sooo much better on their live album.

what is that? live version of The Black Parade? I dunno. I'm picky about listening to Live anything. Majority of the times my favorite bands sound like **** live so I stay away from them. I have never been to a concert for that reason. I don't want to go to a concert and they maybe the band was just having a bad night and their performance sound like **** and ruin the band image in my head. I rather listen to them sounding crisp from a studio album.
