Oh jesus, someone close this before it erupts...

khfreek 02-13-2009 03:13 PM

You'd like that wouldn't you <_< It's fine, neither of them will be back anyway.

But then again, some people would probably say the same thing about the music I listen to
So maybe I can't judge.....

Arya Stark 02-13-2009 06:09 PM

I used to say music was my life until I realized how broad of a term I was using.

CaseNumber:825 02-13-2009 06:11 PM

I now only say that I'm obsessed with music

Because that statement really is true

Actually, I like this band more and more and I will devestate your sister twice.

You know, they embraced the bombast, and ever cover Dyaln's Desolation Row which I know must drive people insane but I kinda like the "who give a ****" attitude. Not punk (thank god) but certainly a "do your own thing" attitude.

Oh wow, look it's another ignorant prick that has no understanding of the term "emo". Fuck off...

TheBig3 02-14-2009 01:58 PM

What is real emo? If 90% of the poulace thinks MCR is emo, and 10% of the populace, that exists to exclude, thinks its not, who's really correct?

You're the super minority, you come up with a different name for that unlistenable garbage.

sleepy jack 02-14-2009 02:08 PM

By that logic, Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11 and Barack Obama is a Muslim, but only in Texas.

lucifer_sam 02-14-2009 02:09 PM

It's funny how many things you learn in Texas.

At Sixes and Sevens 02-15-2009 03:22 PM

I didn't like their debut album but their other two were real good. I'd have to say I like Three Cheers over Black Parade.

facts are funny things, they aren't refutable.

what constitues a band being part of a genre isn't as easy.

haha sure.
I love watching over the emo threads because it's pretty much some guy who says something funny and ignorant about emo people and then everyone bitches about them for 20 posts. I don't think I've heard much talking about music in this forum.

Black Parade was my least favorite.

Just because I fell so in love with the actual band that when they changed, I was pissed.

As much as I agree with you I don't think your point is valid considering your name is disturbed...

Dimebagblues22 03-03-2009 04:15 PM

I listened to their 3 cheers album a few times from a friend, but they aren't my favorite.

FaSho 03-03-2009 04:19 PM

It's too bad that no one listens to their debut, it's really good and sounds nothing like their other two albums.

jacklovezhimself 03-03-2009 05:35 PM

I'm going to try and give this band a chance...
What should I start with?

khfreek 03-03-2009 05:46 PM

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

He's saying a Disturbed fan is the last place he'd look for good opinions on music. Although I like both bands, I like Disturbed quite a bit less.

Disturbed is about a million times worse then MCR.

pahuuuta 03-04-2009 02:42 PM

haha bull, disturbed owns mcr

khfreek 03-04-2009 02:45 PM

David Draiman has about the same knowledge of music as his fans, which is shit.

pahuuuta 03-04-2009 02:46 PM

why do u have one of my quotes as your signature lol

khfreek 03-04-2009 02:51 PM

Irony.

disturbed owns cock...

I listened to Three Cheers today and I kind of dug it.
I still find it to be slightly whiney but I think with a couple more listens I can get into this.

Arya Stark 03-08-2009 07:05 PM

Really?

That's good to hear.

It's nice to meet someone who'll give a band a chance despite stereotypes.

DeadDinos 03-08-2009 07:15 PM

Despite what anyone says, MCR are really good live. They used to suck, but now they're pretty kickass. Disturbed sounds like nails on a chalkboard, live.

Arya Stark 03-08-2009 07:23 PM

Yeah I saw MCR live. I remember. I couldn't even open my eyes because I'd been out in the sun all day and I had the worst headache in the entirety (sp?) of my life.

I can't say much about Disturbed, though. I've never really listened to them, but I've heard them a couple of times.

For some reason, a lot of people I know listen to them.
