Hey, at least you realised and changed your ways accordingly! I'd like to think of myself as open minded too... yet sometimes I realise my attitudes tend to close my mind down...

Thats just it, I can't break away from it. Its really hard.
I'm the only damn person on the planet who hasn't heard anything of MGMT. I've managed to avoid them because I dislike their image. Break away if you can. |

My wife is actually pretty good at breaking down my preconceptions and closed mindedness.... she tends to put things in a nice clear rational fashion and point out my biases, somehow without offending me at all.... guess thats why I married her.... or one of the reasons anyways!

One post cannot fully display how much I detest this band and any others that even somewhat resemble them, so I'll just leave it at that.
One question, though, what the **** is this pop/emo garbage doing in the Rock and Metal board?!

I guess some people consider them rock? I dunno I have not heard nearly enough of their music to say otherwise...

And if you detest them as much as you say you do why the fuck would you care where it is.

I don't think the word emo is allowed in this thread.
you're anti-singles. There are cases where they are also the best songs. Three Cheers is a great example of that. I would order the songs like this: 1.It's Not a Fashion Statement, It's A Deathwish 2.Thank You For The Venom 3.Ghost of You 4.Helena 5.I'm Not Okay 6.Give Em Hell Kid 7.To The End 8. the Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You 9.Cemetery Drive 10.You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison and the other ones suck pretty hard. anyway point is the three singles are in the top 5, so it's reasonable for those songs to be someone's favorite if they have heard the entire album. |
