A lot of the shows kicks off with Oasis performing Rock And Roll Star. A wave of sound just rolls over you in this epic song! Stunning, breath taking and utterly defiant........

I saw a recent picture of Liam Gallagher in Q Magazine and they said he was sporting the Chelsea Pensioner look? A pea coat with some ribbon and medal attached to it along with some pretty expensive looking sunglasses. Just what does a Chelsea pensioner look comprise of?

I just don't see anything original about ripping off the Kinks and the Small Faces and the Stone Roses, which is pretty much Oasis' career to date, without any of the finesse associated with "Lola" or "Waterloo Sunset".
They DID rip off other artists a lot of times, maybe most notably when they used the riff from T-Rex's Get It On in Cigarettes and Alcohol. But they did make some pretty good stuff WITHOUT riffing off people, too. You should hear Songbird, The Importance of Being Idle and Cast No Shadow.

Get it On itself was ripped off from Chuck Berry's Little Queenie.

Nobody writes anything original.

Yeah. Dry the Rain's clearly the better song, though.

& I think Standing on the Shoulder of Giants was their worst album.

I think it kinda depends which years you're talking about. Any live performances you watch from the 90s are usually great because Liam's voice was great. But his voice has gotten worse after 2000-ish. I saw Noel play live a few months ago and was pretty impressed. So I think it's reversed a bit because Noel was not the better singer in the 90s.

A few of their songs I always thought sounded better live, ex. Slide Awaaay.

Then again, not sure whether its because it's one of the only gooduns from that time that didn't take the piss and feel like it would go on for hours.
