Stop crying your heart out

Night_Lamp 11-28-2007 08:06 AM

I vote for: 'Live Forever'. Great song, and Noel's great ,simple catchy guitar playing.

Remember Travis: "Radio's playing all the usual. What's a wonderwall anyway?"

Urban Hat€monger ? 11-28-2007 10:01 AM

The real question is who the fuck are Travis.*

Let There Be Love.

Haha.
I sorta like them a lot.
They are amazing.

fool on the hill 12-03-2007 10:17 PM

Sunday Morning Call
Champagne Supernova
Don't Look Back in Anger

jackhammer 12-05-2007 02:37 PM

I still think they are massively overated. Although DEFINITELY MAYBE is still a brilliant album and has got attitude in spades.

Oasis

I remember liking Oasis a lot back in the late 90s. Went to gigs and shiz. But they kinda went crap somewhere down the line. Anyway, while many people might disagree, I think they were a decent pop rock band band back in their time.

What are people's favourite tracks of theirs?

Urban Hat€monger ? 01-19-2008 10:36 AM

The first 2 albums were phenomenal and a real shot in the arm for British music. In fact they were so good back then even when they put out a B sides album it was still better than what most other bands put out.

pheurton 01-19-2008 10:58 AM

I recently got given stop the clocks for free.

Rainard Jalen 01-19-2008 11:01 AM

The one thing I remember from both of those albums was that they were remarkably consistent. And in the 90s, with the kind of music I both had access and was exposed to, I found it strange that an album should contain any more than 3 good songs max (the rest filler). So by all accounts, I found Oasis a revelation. And so vastly superior to mostly everything else in the mid-90s Britpop scene.

Rainard Jalen 01-19-2008 11:09 AM

I think the new work is absolute derivative self-aping bland mechanical effortless garbage. It makes me embarrassed to like them at all. They've broken new ground in the rehashing department, not only repeating their own lyrics in some songs but the exact same melody that went along with the lyrics in the base song. I bloody hope they don't do another album.

Nosmada 01-19-2008 11:33 AM

Whats The Story Morning Glory, was a good album with Cast no Shadow, Champagne Supernova, Dont Look Back in Anger, She's Electric, all good songs

Lizzie 01-19-2008 11:55 AM

well, who doesn't love the song Wonderwall, its just so pretty:)

Dr_Rez 01-19-2008 11:57 AM

Yea they have some amazing songs. I havn't listened to in depth to them. Mainly just the big ones such as Wonderwall, Live Forever, and Champ Super....

But from what i have heard i like it a lot.

note* i do own there newest album from 2005? and its nothing that special

jackhammer 01-19-2008 12:34 PM

The first album is killer and is one of my favourite debuts ever. The second has some good and some bad. After that they got themselves into a rut , that they have never really got out with. The B-sides album was good too. Will have to get that I think.

Nosmada 02-14-2008 01:34 PM

With each album they became more derivative, but the debut rocks like a muthafucka and had attitude in abundance.

Necromancer 02-16-2008 09:55 AM

Champange Supernova

Far Beyond Driven 02-18-2008 02:25 PM

Oasis is lame radio rock

Urban Hat€monger ? 02-18-2008 02:32 PM

Still , at least Oasis never dressed like this

http://www.anus.com/etc/dimebag/pantera2.jpg

Far Beyond Driven 02-18-2008 02:44 PM

That picture is classic, dude that was hilarious. I am aware that Pantera was completely *** but they were kickass later on. At least Pantera made good music unlike Oasis' garbage soft rock.

Urban Hat€monger ? 02-18-2008 02:47 PM

Pantera = Nothing more than a band of bandwagon jumpers
