I think most of us are at the point where we say "those crazy gallaghers and their silly infighting... will they ever learn!" Imagine what life was like in the Gallagher household when they were kids...

Inevitability is a bitch. The fact they rolled out like 5 albums after Be Here Now is testament to how much they did it for the fans more than anything, they've largely only acknowledged each other on tours since that era.
Oh, by the way, the money as well obviously, but Noel will still be to draw pretty damn well on his own, Liam and the others, if he's retarded enough to continue Oasis, will do ok for a bit, but it'll fail. He's the one that needed Oasis more. |

Whereas Oasis cant continue without Liam AND Noel, Liam needs it more I agree. Some of the songs Liam has written have actually been really good and I think he has at least the potential to go solo and write some material. However I doubt it would be a very good album, it would be more likely to have a couple of decent singles on it at most. Noel on the other hand would find it much easier to go solo and even though he has always said how much he has enjoyed the collective effort over the last few years when it's come to writing the material, getting the input from the rest of the band and recording other peoples songs for a change as well as his own i'm sure he would welcome being the gaffer again.

I'd bet fairly big money they'll both go solo, and bigger money they'll be absolute cack. I doubt a Noel solo album would be the most exciting prospect and it's been said he's far more capable than Liam.

I'd be interested in a Noel solo album but I know what you mean, I doubt it'll sound too much different to a lot of Oasis material. If he can break away from the normal Oasis mould a little like he did with Falling Down and expand on it further then it might make it worthwhile.
To be honest I would be happy for him to tempt Gem away from Oasis aswell and just go acoustic again. |

A Noel solo album would be great if he used it as an excuse to collaborate with loads of different people.
Him alone I wouldn't be so interested in.

I think the only thing that could make Noel write good music in the future would be if he teamed up with another songwriter who brought their music to new dimensions, something I think he's incapable of doing on his own. But I guess his ego is too big for that.
