I still like to hear their music. The Beach Boys had such a unique individual sound & beat to their music, unlike all other rock bands. (Then, and now). Brian Wilson was a talented songwriter, vocalist in my opinion. A major influence with the music of today.

the beach boys are incredible with the exception of that mike love *******. pet sounds, friends, wild honey, holland, carl & the passions are my personal favorites. brian wilson is one of the few true geniuses in pop music history. and carl wilson... easily one of the most over-looked and underrated singer/songwriter/producers ever.

HUGE beach boys fan! favourites: pet sounds (clearly) Today! smiley smile and wild honey. i love endless summer too, great comp, one of the best. the only comp thats better is the simon and garfunkel best of.

I've been a fan of the Beach Boys since my 'Youf'.
The production, songwriting and arrangement are still reference to good producers even now. Listen and enjoy Nothing but good vibrations H

The Beach Boys were one of the greatest bands ever. Pet Sounds is possibly the greatest album ever made.
I just regret that Brian Wilson wasn't able to get SMiLE done when he and the Beach Boys were in their prime. The version he did in 2004 with the Wondermints isn't bad, but Brian's voice is just not the same. Pet Sounds and SMiLE could have been the best pair of albums any one band produced (though, clearly debatable). I think the most underrated track they did was "Surfer Girl." Everything on Pet Sounds is well-rehashed, as are most of the famous tracks meant for SMiLE ("Good Vibrations," "Heroes & Villains," "Surf's Up"), but "Surfer Girl" is generally lumped in with their earlier surf-pop hits. However, it's a beautiful, lush track that deserves as much regard as any of the Beatles' or Beach Boys' later tracks.
