Yeah, a lot of those artists co-wrote their songs and I'm always wary when people say that. You can change a couple of words and claim that you co-wrote something.

Yeah she isn't very good but she isn't any worse than all those guitarists in bands like New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, 30 Seconds to Mars etc

But she actually WROTE them, as in ALL of them and wrote a bunch of Kelly Clarkson songs too.

You're a Billy Talent fan and Avril doesn't shriek its high pitched (really only on girlfriend...) and can be considered annoying I guess, but you listen to a bunch of shitty pop-punk and faux-emo so I think annoying vocals shouldn't be something for you to complain about.

first of all i was talking about mariah carey's vocals, not avrils
you just mentioned shes a good vocalist; go listen to pretty much any of her songs & youll hear an extremely ear piercing & unnecessary shriek
as far as my "shitty pop-punk, faux emo" bands that i listen to, i really dont see what that has to do with anything considering half the stuff you listen to has just the same annoying screaming that anythign i listen to does as well

Loads of singing ability, but both have the uncontrollable urge, to kick the shit out of almost everything they do.

I don't like the really high-pitched bits that Mariah Carey does. Thankfully she leaves them until the end of the song and I can just skip past them.

I don't listen to nearly any music with screaming and the stuff that does it have it, well i'd hardly compare Circle Takes the Square to Mariah Carey.

Maybe i'd know who you were referring to if you made it more clear. I talked about three different vocalists. If i'd said Mariah Carey was a gooder vocalist or something involving good, I maybe would've known who you were talking about.
