I was just listening to both of those songs in the car today on my '70s mix CD,
some of my favorites from that decade!

I'm not familiar with all of the songs he performed, mostly the ones that got
a lot of AM radio airplay back in the day--"Breaking Up Is Hard To Do," etc.,
but I recall that he wrote/co-wrote songs that were big hits for other artists,
like "Love Will Keep Us Together" (The Captain And Tennille) and "Solitaire"
(The Carpenters). These days, I listen to a lot less pop and more jazz and
fusion, but I still enjoy all the pop tunes I grew up listening to!
