Lily Allen is cool, she doesn't take anything too seriously and is not afraid to speak her mind, plus her songs are witty and catchy!

I couldn't agree more! The content of her songs is really original, which makes her interesting. She's got an ok voice, but it's her lyrics and quirkyness that make her good!

Has anyone heard the new single, The Fear?
I can't post a link yet, but you can find it on youtube.
The new album It's not me, it's you is being released Feb. 9, 2009, I'll get it because I love Alright Still, but I do not like this song at all.

^^ Agreed. A couple of songs are catchy but I'm not really a fan...

I liked the breeziness and free feeling of her first record. Smart, simple pop. But the electro-pop sound on the new record scares me. It seems a lot of artists are going that direction. Supposedly 2009 will be a big year for female elecrto-pop artists.

Has some nice melodic pop tunes. I don't mind her, don't really get all the passionate hatred for her when I think there's far worse.

I also find her attractive, but my taste has always been weird like that. I guess I have a thing for chicks with faces that look like a "sack of spanners".

The mockney accent is a big turn off though.

Coming from wealthy famous parents & pretending your some streetwise working class artist always goes down badly in the UK.

Jarvis Cocker wrote a song about it , you may remember it.
