Yah, Aiden is definitely nothing like those two bands. I don't even really like any of those groups but nonetheless, that comparison was pretty weak.

AFI over MCR everyday of the week.

Although live, MCR is AFI's equal (more or less).

I personally think MCR is one of the worst bands ever. AFI is a great band but their latest stuff (December Underground) isn't as great as some of their previous work.
