Heard Gnarls Barkleys next single is to be 'Smiley Faces'.
I rate this better than 'Crazy' it has a real Motown feel.
Another number 1 and probably be the summer sound.

*update this thread Urban*

Umm.....That would be the winter sound. Hang on.The speed in which we receive new releases, it probably will be the summer sound.

I used to enjoy this thread so I have decided to bring it back from the dead.

The Official UK Singles Chart : 08.06.2008

10 Will.I.Am (ft Cheryl Cole) - Heartbreaker
As much as I want to smash Cheryl Cole's back door in it doesn't save this song. In fact why bother mentioning she's featured in it at all , she only has one line. Anyway this is your typical bland summery R&B pop and not really worth going into any great detail so here's a picture of Cheryl's breasts which are much more entertaining than the song.
Moderator cut: image removed
Hey I managed to get through this entire song without calling her husband greedy moneygrabbing scum.

Aw Bugger

09 Sam Sparro - Black & Gold
Fuck me , Herman Munster does retro 80s electro pop.

08 Madonna Feat. Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes
Ole turkey legs is back (again) . I notice it's credited as featuring Justin Timberlake rather than featuring the poor sod who does all the rapping for about the first minute of this song. Anyway his pre-pubescent whining does nothing for this song. The first comment written on Youtube for this is '4 minutes of shit'
Says everything really.

07 Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me
Another 'serious' female singer songwriter. Her voice is part Kate Bush , part Beth Gibbons , part nagging fishwife.
Still at least she's not as irritating as Joanna Newsom.

06 Sara Bareilles - Love Song
Fucking hell , is their a factory churning out these women. Typical chick rock for your 20/30something girlfriend who worships Alanis Morissette and who thinks that Bitch
by Meredith Brooks was written especially for her ,and who probably has a Linda Perry (spit) fixation too.

05 Ne-Yo - Closer
This bastard always seems to have a record out when I do this. I can't remember what the last one sounded like but I bet it's identical to this identikit R&B shite.
What the hell happened to Def Jam.

04 Duffy - Warwick Avenue
What is it with the music industry giving people who actually do have some modicum of talent bland crap like this to sing.
Does not do her voice justice at all.

03 The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name
I never ever thought in my entire life I would hear a song so bad I would rather listen to Hey Mickey by Toni Basil. There was a time when stuff like this was treated as the novelty fluff it is. Some people in the media actually rate this garbage.

02 Rihanna - Take A Bow
Chav-tastic 5/5

01 Mint Royale - Singin' In The Rain
Who exactly is buying this and why?
As this is a cut & paste job of a song that already exists rather than do anything original I decided i'll do the same thing and just cut & paste and old review I did of some Chili Peppers album somewhere , probably.

UTTER .... THIS ....SHIT....IS

I have to admit that Gabriella Cilmi song is a guilty pleasure, which is bloody annoying as she has all the charisma of my mum's pot plants.

At least she has a unique voice. You wouldn't forget her in a hurry.

^ God, how wrong I was.

I was thinking about this thread earlier today...thinking we need another just like it.
I was going to do it similar to the 'Spin it/Bin it' thread with the odd youtube vid for new chart releases.

Good to see it back Urb.
