yes, new album absolutely sucks
ocean avenue is much better
the whole reason why i bought ocean avenue was because i liked the violin usage in it
this new album is just...ugh
same crap, different band basically
but the same could be said for the stuff before ocean avenue basically
i hate hate hate it when bands have one good album

Ocean Avenue was pretty good. I think thatw as better than their new stuff like Lights and Sounds
Don't get me wrong, I like both songs and I liked their previous stuff,it's just their newer stuff is geared more towards pop and I liked it when it was geared more towards punk.

Peace

I like yellowcard but its not something i go, yeah i want to listen to them right now!!! It's something i have in the collection that i come acroiss every now and then and go yeah, havent listened to them for a while. Ocean Avenue and Lights and Sounds and the cover of Everywhere are my faves, but thats because theyre the ones that were commercialised enought to be played so i heard them alot. The others ive never taken the time to get into. The ocean avenue album is pretty good, but its a little mellow from memory. And i like ocean avenue and lights and sounds (the songs) because they have a bit more punk-sort of rock energy to them

Could anybody post a link to one of their good albums please? After reading this thread I'm interested to hear them, but I'm unable to find an album by them. Thanks

Definately pop punk. I reckon they have some good lyrics, just the vocals aren't that good...Only One is my favourite song. It used to be me and my ex girlfriends song...It's a little sad listening to it now but I can never stop loving it. Empty Apartment off "Ocean's Avenue" Album is also a good song.

They're aren't that good, but "Lights and Sounds" is acceptable at least.
