Those harmonies throughout Can't Get it Out are so great. Especially the swells in the last chorus.

I've finally gotten around to listening to this album with my headphones and I totally agree on that song.

I am absolutely enamored with the album, which is something I never thought I'd say for this band. I could respect their past, and even find some really enjoyable tracks off The Devil and God and Deja Entendu, but I've loved this album from start-to-finish. Definitely top 10 for 2017 for me.

TDAG was an album that came to me at the right time in my life, and as a result, ranks among my all time favourites. That's a hard thing to live up to though, even if I hadn't hated Daisy, so to be honest I kind of gave up on them.

This album though, it's unexpected, yet makes complete sense, and is better than I'd hoped from them. Haven't been this excited about a release in a few years now.

EDIT: This is my number one album so far and it would take a lot to unseat it at this point.

Never heard this band before. Listening now...

Edit: Definitely good for lowering the blood pressure in a few places. Gonna have to spin it again while I'm not at work to get a better feel for it.

"Batter Up" is still the favourite from me, but it's wonderful from front-to-back. Daisy was my intro to Brand New so I have a different view on this band than most. I think this one may rank as my favourite.

This album caught me by surprise. Not just because they released it without warning, but also because I wasn't expecting much from a new Brand New album based on the two previous singles they released. I've really enjoyed listening to this album over the past couple of weeks, and I will probably grow to love it as much as Deja Entendu and TDAGARIM.

BRAND NEW RELEASED AN ALBUM???

Honestly, I really like it from the first second (just opened it now). But I really appreciate music that focuses on internal rather than external structures. What I mean is that I think the people who make up Brand New make their music to talk about what's interesting to them, and other people liking it is just a happy result from that.

Other ideas:
The bass is pretty good from the get-go, too, which I appreciate. I like that there's a weird mix of low-fi and high quality sound going on, though at times it's jarring.
The keyboard (or whatever instrument is making those sounds) going on is great.
The vocals have gotten stronger & more concise

Overall, good stuff! Really gives me The Perfect Circle vibes but friendlier/more hopeful
