Stormzy - Gang Signs & Prayer
1. First Things First 2. Cold 3. Bad Boys (featuring Ghetts & J HUS) 4. Blinded By Your Grace, Pt. 1 5. Big for Your Boots 6. Velvet / Jenny Francis (Interlude) 7. Mr Skeng 8. Cigarettes & Cush (featuring Kehlani) 9. 21 Gun Salute (Interlude) (featuring Wretch 32) 10. Blinded By Your Grace, Pt. 2 (featuring MNEK) 11. Return of the Rucksack 12. 100 Bag 13. Don't Cry for Me (featuring Raleigh Ritchie) 14. Crazy Titch (Interlude) 15. Shut Up 16. Lay Me Bare Out 24th February. Posting now. I don't know what else is out this week but this guy's hype is ridiculous. He has has built his brand quite well online as well as being pushed very hard by the scene so this will sell more than Konnichiwa, possibly be the first #1 Grime album. Anything less than good will be a disappointment considering his status. Posters around London for this. Not sure about track listing, them interludes better have a point to them. One of them is over five minutes long Two singles have dropped already but I'm counting it as one as the other was clearly not intended to be released on an album. The fluke single: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ic0Ye4BA_RU The actual lead single which is nice but is the first thing I've rated from him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFOErVWlsxg So anyway those are my thoughts on this album and Stormzy. It is time to deliver after all of the hype. |

Will be out soon. Probably leak as well.
I wonder what the Titch Interlude has on it, I'm guessing a phone call or Titch spitting from jail over the phone. He was one of the first guys I really loved when I was getting into it. If its a proper studio recording >>>>>>> |

im excited for the track with Kehlani. have a feeling it will either be great or the worst track on the album, no in between. regardless i'm pretty stoked for this, solid start for grime in 2017. if JME ends up releasing something this year as well it could be the year grime takes the next step in blowing up.

I'm three tracks in, it sounds nice and polished. Swifta made a banger for track 2.
I'm not sure about the structure of it. EDIT: There is a lot of chilled out RnB type stuff on this. You can probably guess from the TL which tracks they are. Last edited by Cuthbert; 02-23-2017 at 04:42 PM. |
