Nicki Minaj - New Album 2015
 

This is a thread about Nicki Minaj's album The Pink Print. For some reason when I put the full album title in the thread name I get a strange page that comes up not looking like a normal thread. So apologies for that and I will get Yac to check it out. I'm sure the title is sufficient enough information anyway.

I've just begun to listen to her new album The Pink Print and so far I'm really pleased. It has quite a pop-feel but it seems Nicki has really spilled her guts lyrically. This is the first album that we hear the real Nicki and not "Roman" or any other alter ego's. I think it certainly shows growth and although it may not appeal to everyone I believe there will be a couple of tracks there that you should like depending on your style preferences.

So what are your thoughts?

"Only" is the jam (sans Drake) and that is all I have to say

I'm sorry, i lied. "Feelin Myself" is a banger too. Every time she says "carry on" i crack up

I could imagine Nicki Minaj as a Mortal Kombat character... For her fatality, she turns into a giant anaconda. :)

I like when she makes those silly blrrrrr noises on some of her tracks. I think this album was better than her last. I like The Crying Game, Shanghai, The Night Is Still Young, Grand Piano, Only, Bed Of Lies, I Lied, and Want Some More. She's actually a pretty good singer too.

I absolutely LOVE grand piano. I have a hard time talking myself into the fact that it is truly her singing, cause I didn't expect that voice FOR SURE. I'm also liking Bed of Lies and The Night Is Still Young.

I think her new album has a lot of meaning. My favorite has got to be 'All Things Go'. That song is beautiful and has very meaningful lyrics.

I listened to various tracks from this on Spotify a while back, and I mostly have the same opinion as her last album.

It's more perfected than the previous release, and there's more rap than pop tracks, but her biggest problem is wanting to be a rap star and a pop star at the same time, and the album feels disjointed because of it. She's trying to play to two different crowds, and it makes her image confusing.

This album is Nicki's best so far.
