Cant believe how sterile this album is. I had a hard time getting through this album once and will likely not do it again. No emotional response at all from me and thats bad news.

The song Reflektor is catchy tho. 5/10 for me thx

I thought it was pretty good on first listen. Second album was better than the first IMO. It did sound a bit sterile overall, but I think that's mainly due to weighing it against their other much more emotion-driven albums. They're going in a completely different direction here, so I don't think I really mind it looking at this album in a vacuum. Still, if you look at the studio versions of Here Comes the Night Time and We Exist, they sort of just sounded like neutered versions of the ones that were in that 20-minute special they did.

i cant even begin to imagine how someone can feel this way about this album

there are like more trolls on this forum than people that actually care about music. two 1/10's? this is why i rarely post here anymore. give me a break.

You know because music is subjective and all

They don't share your same high opinion of an album so they must be trolls. It doesn't work that way. As far as this album, it is on my listen to list. I will get back to you after hearing it.

yeah okay because any music on earth actually deserves a 1/10 and the people giving 1/10's are completely not trolling

why do you even care so much and put so much stock into polls?

focus on the actual people that are posting in the thread.

You also called Ninetails a troll as well.

I love Arcade Fire. Especially Neon Bible, which I consider to be their greatest accomplishment to date. I preordered Reflektor and have listened through about 4 times. "Here Comes the Night Time" stood out instantly due to it's catchy beat. Still, I can't help but feel that some of their lyrics were written by a 5 year old.
