That'd be an interesting record.

Keep digging your own grave, Daddy. Your additions to this thread are exponentially juvenile.

The new Deafheaven album is infinitely better than the new Kanye thing. You should check it out, hipguy.

I made the assumption too quickly that this has a Death Grips vibe but really, the only song that really has it is the first track "On Sight". This whole album is truly a great follow up to MBTDF though, albeit a short album.

The cockiness doesn't help, but that's something I don't go for at all when it comes to rap, or most music really. I just shouldn't even be in this thread. I felt the need to investigate because I really don't understand what people see in this guy. Then again I could say that about a lot of music, as could everyone else.

There's another thing, I'm really not into this kind of rap. I don't want to hear about pussy and guns and money. It's pathetic.

Again, I shouldn't be here. I'll let myself out.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Is everyone actually listening to this? I just finished most of the album, I have one song left, and this music is deep, SO deep. Two of them mention slavery, at least one mentions pregnancy, alimony, etc, and a lot more. This music is about something more. If people follow this album to mold their style the way they did in the past couple of years with Rick Ross, it could really change the face of rap. Music will be about something more than bitches and money.

One thing I had a hard time with scattered throughout the album was how some of the songs would suddenly pause and some random chorus from a song would come in, it was kind of weird. I think as the album goes on, it gets more "listenable"

Like did anyone actually buy the album and see the cover? This **** is supposed to be raw. If you think it's poppin or dancey, you are not listening. At all.

Wait, you missed the point. He ISN'T singing all about money, guns, and women.

that would be nice and all but there will always be club type music about bitches and money. It's just easy to make and no one wants to be up in the club dancing to serious topics.

You might like J Cole's Born Sinner though. He brings up some serious stuff as well.

I'm not saying club type music is a problem, just that the topics are all the same lately. And thanks, I'll listen to that!

some of you guys are letting your own terribly dumb opinions get in the way of the fact that this album is a very rare and very special piece of work.
It will define one of the greatest artists of our times legacy and will in years to come take its place as a rightful classic.
It's not often you hear an album 5 times in a day and it takes your breath away every time. Truly captivating and enthralling and if there are those of you who can't see that, why are you even on a forum which appreciates music as an art form.

^ On top of that, like I said, it could end up changing rap as a whole right now.
There's nothing out like this right now.
