Maybe it's me. Maybe Boards of Canada and me are not compatible, but I saw no reason to continue what was, for me, a disappointing and quite annoying experience.
That's how I felt when duga recommended The Campfire Headphase to me back in 2010 when I had first started actively using this site.

Years later it's one of my favorite albums. Give it time.

Have to say I've never been a massive Boards of Canada fan, I've always wanted to like them more than I ever actually did. This album hasn't done much to change it for me, I dunno, I just can't force myself through it. Sometimes music stands out to me better in different situations, if I'm traveling or at the gym or in a car, maybe one of those will help, but right now sitting down it just sends me to sleep.

I feel like "Tomorrow's Harvest" is more condensed, and when all of the layers of a song have been established, it ends. Case in point, the vocal samples coming in on "Palace Posy" almost near the end, the drum layers finally coming together into a danceable jam in "Reach For The Dead in the last 45 seconds only to abruptly end. I don't mean the entire album is like this, but it feels as if pop out tracks are noticeably shorter (only two going over 5 minutes on the whole album), and don't sprawl out.
