Just downloaded it from their site.
Looking forward to hearing how much they've changed since 1991.

They probably have a few grey hairs. About it. Maybe more ambient as opposed to riff orientated.

I've listened twice now and I feel let down. The albums not bad at all, it just sounds exactly like Loveless, where I was hoping for and expecting some growth and experimentation. How any band could go 21 years between albums and sound exactly the same is beyond me.

Also - what the hell is with "Nothing Is" ?

It's a pretty damn repetitive sang, can't disagree with you there. It's my least favourite on the album, but I still like it in a way.

I'd guess they probably were done in by the hype on the last one. Frankly, no band is safe unless they give up giving a ****. If it didn't sound anything like Loveless, fans would have said they lost the touch. If it sounds exactly like Loveless, fans would say they haven't evolved.

You can't win, and I'm hoping for the day where artists learn to go "Oh yeah? well tough **** because I enjoyed making this album." Metallica should have kept making hard rock, and Axl Rose should have just made a new band.

You cannot win with music fans. They're the biggest ****s in the world.

Not too bad overall. I understand that some people 'round these parts are obsessed with Loveless in the same way I'm obsessed with 70's Gino Vannelli, but M B V wasn't going to have a chance in hell of ousting that record for any of you. I personally am digging how relaxed it is though.

There is way more truth in this than there should be. Well put.

Oh my god, its absolutely amazing...

I have been waiting for this and its paying off. I feel like I have fallen into a fuzzy blue vortex of motherly love and electric fuzz.

I find myself liking this more than I liked Loveless on first listen.
I think the middle of the album is particularly strong.
It's a good album, it's just a shame it'll probably get lambasted for the 22 year wait or the inevitable comparisons to Loveless.

Blows the crap out of any of the shoegaze revival stuff I've heard over the past couple of years.
